STORE FRONT CLOSING
BUT GIVE GOWNS FOR GOOD MISSION LIVES ON!
Well, we are going through a change of sorts over here at ‘the dress shop’..
Unfortunately, these gowns haven’t been paying their rent so, it’s with a heavy heart that I announce
the closing of the store front for Providence Formal Wear & Consignment.
We will, however, continue with our Give Gowns for Good program that helped opened our doors to begin with!!
So, it’s bitter but it really is sweet to continue our true mission.
How will we sell gowns to ‘give for good’ if we don’t have them in a storefront?? Great question!!
Beginning this year on February 8th, 2020, we will host a yearly Gowns for Good Prom Extravaganza!
At the Extravaganza, we will sell gowns collected throughout the year at AMAZINGLY LOW PRICES.. as well as shoes, jewelry, and accessories. We are also inviting vendors throughout the Chisago Lakes Area to join us and make this your one stop Prom shop!
AND we will still be giving a portion of our proceeds to The Refuge Network to continue our efforts to fight domestic violence. I personally feel this will fit our mission to help girls find affordable gowns way better than before, and I hope you will help by continuing to donate your gently used gowns to us at 320 Summit Ave.
Speaking of our location;
Welcome to the new business inside Gordy’s old pharmacy: Shepherd’s Gathering Place. If you missed the Grand Opening on November 2nd, don’t worry, the café is open from 9:30-4:30 daily (closed on Sundays) and serves up fresh piping hot drinks with our Keurig Coffee Bar as well as snacks, cupcakes, donuts, and FREE WIFI! It’s the perfect spot to hang out with a friend, a group, or a stack of homework to be done. Plenty of comfy seating, and tables for all!
Shepherd’s is also offering space to rent for private parties. Don’t clean your house for a huge party that you’ll have to clean up afterward as well?! Host gatherings such as Birthdays, Sales Parties, Bridal & Baby Showers of up to 50 people in our space. BYO food, and note that we do not have a kitchen space so food and drinks must be pre-made and/or catered in.
And finally, thank you so very much to the community, my family, and my friends (far and wide) that continue to support all my endeavors.. May God richly bless you all!!
With love, Jessica Stimson
